Kraken injured
December 6, 2009 - Yesterday evening when I got
home I found Kraken injured on the bottom of
the cage. He seemed unable to use one of his hind
legs, he just kinda dragged it around. He couldn't climb, he could hardly
move around at all. So I prepared the hospital
cage for him (and for Kilkenny, who would
keep him company), where he spent the night.
This morning I took him to the
emergency vet, and fortunately the vet
couldn't find any injuries I was already imagening Kraken could have. The
vet did give Kraken a painkiller, which will relieve the pain for up to
three days. By then Kraken hopefully will have recovered, so he and
Kilkenny can leave sickbay again and rejoin
Uisce & Ulixes
in the big cage.
