June 1, 2013 - I was supposed to pick up
Igor & Java
tomorrow, but there's been a slight change of plans. They already left
their birth ground last Sunday, when they moved to a friend not too far
from my place. Last Tuesday I picked them up there, and since then they've
been living in the spare cage in my living room.
They haven't yet met the other rats, but I hope to
introduce them tomorrow.
Meanwhile they seem to really enjoy themselves, running
and climbing up and down the spare cage, inside and outside, and on me of
course (outside only :-p). Java is the more adventurous, even
slightly careless of the two (he's already fallen of the small table
underneath the spare cage), Igor seems a bit shy at times. Then again, a
few days ago I saw Igor dragging Java by the tail (all in good fun of
course), so between the two of them it would seem that Igor is the dominant
one. Perhaps not surprising, as Igor is older than Java
(one whole day), and he's slightly heavier as well (124 vs 115 grams).
