May 1, 2008 - Quite a while back I saw pictures on
a ratty forum of an ice hat hanging in a
rat cage. I thought this was an excellent idea, so hung one in
my cage, but the boys
refused to use it in any way. I nevertheless kept hanging the ice hat in
the cage every now and then. Sometimes I would put a treat inside it, with
big chances it would still be in there when I cleaned out the cage a week
later.
This morning when I got out of bed and check up on the
rats, I couldn't find Lefty anywhere. I had
personally put him in the cage the night before, so I knew he was hiding in
there somewhere. So I tried the ice hat, and... yes! He was lying in there,
ever so lazy. :-D A little later I saw
Pancho climbing in with him.
