Cardboard Castle
November 16, 2005 - In Rat country, just beyond the
Couch Area, you will find Cardboard Castle, a magnificent building made
entirely of cardboard and wire mesh. It has numerous rooms and windows, and
is open to the public during out time.
The original castle was built in November of the year
2004, and protected the plants in the Window Sill from free roaming rats.
But since then the plants slowly decreased in number, and today they have
totally disappeared from the Window Sill, which is Rat country now. The
current castle was built in November 2005, on top of the ruins of the old
castle.
In front of Cardboard Castle stands the enormous Statue of
the Dummy. During out time, you can climb all the way up to the top of the
head, from which you have an excellent view over the entire Couch Area and
beyond. On the back of the statue you will find café The Rucksack,
which serves a delicious lab block.
