U are here

Picture

October 13, 2008 - Yesterday I went down to Ratcity to finally pick up Uisce & Ulixes. After the "long" way home I thought they would be weary, but not so. After quickly eating half a ratty biscuit they started to explore both the inside and outside of their temporary cage. After a while they finally fell asleep in the green Sputnik hanging from the ceiling of the cage.

This afternoon I first introduced the two new boys to Lefty, and then to Pancho. Pancho initially was a bit rough with both "U" boys, nothing too serious though, and certainly no real agression. So I then put Lefty and Uisce & Ulixes in the stripped down big cage (stripped down: no houses, tunnels, or other places to hide in) to see what would happen. Nothing is what happened. That is to say, Lefty started eating, almost ignoring the youngsters running up and down the cage. Then I added Pancho, and he immediately went after U&U, while I watched them all closely to make sure nobody would get hurt.

And thusfar nobody has been hurt. :-) Pancho is constantly chasing the new boys to show them who's is charge. U&U seem somewhat frightened and intimidated by Pancho, but still they keep challenging him. In other words, they are clearly sorting things out among themselves. I guess it's alright then to leave the four of them together for the night already, there's not much more I can do now. So good night!
